Subdivision OKs 25 Cent Property Tax for Road
Country Acres subdivision voters approved a 25 cent per 100 dollar valuation property tax for 15 years to fund one mile of road paving. The measure passed 26 to 22 in a special Wilson County commissioners court session to borrow 60,000 for crowning and paving Country Crescent Drive. Ballots totaled 69 with 4 undeliverable and 17 unreturned. The tax starts next fiscal year with bids planned for July 24.
