Justin Tudyk of Adkins loaded 13 Brahman heifers for export to the Philippines as part of a 1300 head shipment coordinated by Ag World Exports in Illinois. The cattle travel from Adkins to Jourdanton, then California for quarantine before a 27 day sea voyage to Manila.

Majors, a two year task force investigator with four plus years narcotics enforcement, will become commander on July 1 and serve as assistant commander in June for training. Soward steps down but stays as member and supports the task force. The May meeting announced a grant for year six with a 315000 dollar budget. 71 percent from federal grants and 29 percent local match. The task force board includes county sheriffs, police chiefs, and district attorney Lynn Ellison. Over four years, 320 defendants arrested, 615 cases filed, and 1,551,180 dollars seized.
