Pet Protectors aids abused animals in Sutherland Springs
Lisa McNulty and Kathy Reese run Pet Protectors to rescue dogs and cats in Wilson County. Since 1999 the nonprofit has adopted out 113 pets in ten months and, recently, 60 more, while operating as a subsidary of Animal Goodwill. They plan a June 17 fundraiser at Las Palomas golf course to fund kennels and advertise two adoption days in Floresville in June. The shelter currently houses about 60 dogs and 25 cats and seeks donations and volunteers.
