Evergreen district plans water rules to curb Carrizo use

In a June 1996 bulletin the Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District warns drought strains on the Carrizo Aquifer and warns of outside tapping by Corpus Christi and San Antonio. It calls for new district rules and a management plan, with public hearings announced and contact numbers provided.

Czech Texans plan multi purpose cultural center project

TOCA Texans of Czech Ancestry spearheads a cultural center project seeking land in communities with Czech heritage. Abstracts due Aug 1, proposals to Retta Chandler by July 1, with presentations at the August 17 TOCA meeting in LaGrange.
