Young athlete steve ahrens chase rodeo dreams
Stevie Ahrens, a standout LaVernia athlete with 19 medals, credits coach Mark Wintrek for his drive. He excelled in football baseball and track, qualified for state multiple times, and returned after a broken wrist to lead in rushing. Now 19, he pursues bull riding toward the National Finals Rodeo while working in Boerne and racing to rodeo venues across Texas.
