The Old Lupan School Class of 1895 Portrait
A historical note from Northeast Wilson County recalls the Lupan School eight miles north of La Vernia on the Kosub Place. The one room school operated about 15 years and closed after 1895. Lola Wisemann taught there with Miss Wisemann boarding nearby. Ella Friedrich Fowler remembers attending with August Mark children, and stories recount a calf prank after hours. Surviving members include Fowler of La Vernia Emil Sacherer and Sap Ploch of California, all around 90.

Dr Jim Adams of the School of Aerospace Medicine Brooks Air Force Base presented a paper on Denitrogenation/ Renitrogenation Profiles and interruption of oxygen prebreathing. The session at the International Convention of the Aerospace Medical Association was held at the Las Vegas Hilton Las Vegas Nevada with researchers from England Sweden Russia Norway Japan Germany Turkey and Canada in attendance.
