Stockdale ISD approves roof and budget actions in June meeting
Unofficial minutes show Stockdale ISD trustees meeting June 17 ran from 7:03 p.m. to 1 a.m. with closed sessions, roof repair bids, budget amendments, insurance and employee changes. Actions included approving bid processes for roof replacement, adopting local policies, approving budget amendments and employee salaries, and setting a public hearing for the 2002-03 budget on June 28.

Stockdale Council Revises Building and Energy Codes
Stockdale City Council approved revisions to two ordinances passed last month. The building code goes into effect immediately while the energy conservation code applies to new construction starting Sept 1. The council also appointed Betty Henry to planning and zoning and the board of adjustments and discussed a code compliance officer. An executive session considered purchasing 1.08 acres of Monsez Albarez property.

Kicaster VFD Receives State Fire Aid For Gear
The Kicaster Volunteer Fire Department joined rural departments in getting cost-sharing aid from a state program administered by the Texas Forest Service. Funds will buy a Fol da tank for residential fires and wildland coveralls to replace full bunker gear for summer brush fires.
