Mayor faces split over tennis lights payment
Floresville officials debated a $10,627 bill for lights at American Legion Park tennis courts after Mayor Raymond Ramirez ordered installation in October with four of five aldermen aware. Ramirez defended acting solo to secure lower costs and public benefit, while Alderman Debbie Boll argued only full council could approve. The council, including Cissy Gonzalez and Tony Ximenez, ultimately backed payment.
