Wilson County Livestock Show Set for January 20 22
The 1983 Wilson County 4 H and FFA Livestock Show and Sale runs January 20 21 22 at the County Showbarn near Floresville. About 440 animals will be shown including 129 market hogs 94 steers 88 lambs 47 pens of 5 broilers 49 beef heifers 7 bulls 20 gilts and 6 dairy heifers. Entry check in for hogs is January 20 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lambs steers broilers and dairy animals receive check in 1 4 p.m. Thursday with sifting for lambs and steers at 5 p.m. Judging begins Friday morning for market classes and Friday afternoon for breeding gifts and market hogs. Saturday brings judging of market steers at 8 a.m. and breeding beef before the auction of 121 units at 7 p.m. at the County Showbarn conducted by Nixon Livestock Commission Co. The youth show is sponsored by Floresville C of A G FornaGuote Gear the Stockdale C of C VFW Post No 8555 and the Wilson County Farm Bureau.

Veterans Service Officer Appointed in Wilson County
