Elmendorf officials approved a water meter and a full time city clerk after a history of disruptive meetings. Councilman Esperanza Sauceda requested Bexar County deputies for security with three deputies assigned to the Jan. 3 gathering. Police from Elmendorf also provided security.

Wilson County residents whose property may be impacted by a Cibolo Reservoir will gather Jan 20 in Stockdale at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Judge Marvin Quinney said the session aims to present known details as planners study regional water options including a 17 000 acre reservoir west of Stockdale and southeast of Sutherland Springs.
