Floresville post office now opens 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays under Budget Reconciliation Act. Wilson County Republican Women host February 18 meeting with candidates Balch and Brutser, plus legislative briefing. A February 25 charity basketball game features Kens Channel 5 against High School Faculty. Volleyball meeting February 24. spring leagues begin March 23-24. Art exhibit “A book at nature” by Irene Frazier runs to February 29 at Fort Sam Houston center.
Atascosa County American Red Cross chapter will gather at First National Bank in Pleasanton on Monday February 22 at 7 p.m. to formalize the fundraising drive and plan future classes. A disaster training filmstrip will be shown and donations can be sent to the chapter c/o Bonnie Crean, Treasurer, Leming, Texas 78050. For class or volunteer info contact Sandra Holland at 569-4821.
Poth Band boosters will meet Thursday February 25 at 7 30 p m in the Band Hall. All parents of students in the junior high and high school band programs are urged to attend.
