Stockdale Fire Dept Names New Chief After Akin Steps Down
Wilson County News reports John L. Akin resigned as chief of the Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department on December 13 after about 13 years in the post. Edwin Baker was elected the new chief. New officers include Assistant chiefs Scott Akin Tony Malik and L H West. Captains James Cannon Mark Lerma Victor Marquez and Thomas Todd. Secretary Ray Donsbach and Reporter Joey Quinlan. Akin will serve as a captain and be honored for his leadership.
