Planning a Prudent Holiday Spending Strategy in Texas
Texas CPAs advise mapping a spending plan before the holidays to curb excesses and post holiday remorse. Review last year’s expenses across gifts, decor, travel, and entertaining, set realistic per person limits, consider handmade gifts, use cash or track credit card use, and budget to manage bills into the new year. The Texas Society of CPAs, with 27,000 members and 20 local chapters, promotes disciplined budgeting statewide.
