Sheriff Santa program grows with community support
Since 1996 the Sheriff Santa program has expanded from 34 food baskets and 60 gifts to last year delivering 181 food baskets and 380 gifts. Deputies, families, 4-H groups and local donors raise funds with events like the Sheriff Santa Shootout and a golf tournament, while volunteers stock, wrap, shop for, and deliver goods to those in need on Christmas Eve.
