Smith Donates Birds to Nursing Home in Wilson County

The nursing home received parakeets donated by Ina Smith on Tuesday December 6 1983 after a local shopper noted the home needs. Birds named George and Sam were placed in the front living room and later feathered, with residents George Garner and Sam Fitzgerald influencing their care and conversation.
