Panna Maria church bell tower scaffolded for restoration
The Immaculate Conception Church in Panna Maria began a restoration with T & F Construction of New Braunfels setting up scaffolding for the holiday season. Three old church ledgers and records were restored by Dr Elzbieta Jablonska of Nicolaus Copernicus University at a cost of 3000 dollars. The work spanned two years and involved Fr Frank Kurzaj coordinating contact with Poland. The records were brought to Texas by Fr Frank Adrian and T, with Fr Wieslaw Iwaniec returning them to Texas. Emilia Lyssy funded the effort in memory of her husband. Loretta Niestroy leads the Panna Marta Historical Society.
