James L. Jim Masters Sr. born May 1 1921 died Thursday Nov 30 at 79. WWII veteran with the 13th Air Force in the South Pacific healed by 42 missions earning the Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters and five Bronze Stars. He started J.L. Masters & Sons Inc with his sons forming a 53 year family business. An outdoorsman hunter and sports supporter of Judson athletic program and Kirby Playground. Funeral services held at Sunset Funeral Home San Antonio with pallbearers and honorary pallbearers listed. He was survived by his wife Ida Bonds Masters sons Jim Jr. and Mike, daughters Geraldine Barbe, siblings, grandchildren and many relatives. Memorials to Boysville preferred.
