FELPS forecast shows growth and bond planning ahead

Floresville Electric Light and Power System trustees reviewed computer models foreseeing rising sales and costs through 2011. Electric sales could reach 391 million, with expenses up 65 percent. 2 to 3 million in bonds may be issued every other year starting 2002 to fund grid upgrades. Trustees approved the forecast and bond planning, while debating a 4 000 dollar to 500 dollar annual contribution to the Wilson County Economic Development Foundation.
