Gramm pledges budget restraint and tax repeal at Farm Bureau meeting
Senator Phil Gramm of Texas told more than 1400 Farm Bureau members at their 63rd annual meeting that his first congressional priority is to limit federal spending and require government to live on a budget. He vowed to push to repeal the federal inheritance tax and to strengthen property rights protections.
