Floresville Council Approves Drought Plan and Budget
Floresville city council approved a state mandated drought plan and the FEDC budget for the new fiscal year. They scheduled Sept 14 hearings on the municipal budget and property tax rate, to run with the 7 p.m. meeting. The effective property tax rate is 31.36 cents per $100, aiming to match last year’s revenue. The 2000-2001 year starts Oct 1, with consideration of a slight tax rate cut to 32.27 cents from 35.24 cents.
