Broiler orders for Wilson County, San Antonio, Houston, and Star of Texas shows must be placed by Aug. 30 at the extension office with exhibitor name, address, and Social Security number. A 2003 change switches to straight run chicks at $1 each. standard 50 chick orders cost $50. Also, Texas 4-H Master Beef Volunteer Training is Sept. 13–15 at the A&M Beef Cattle Center, with a $100 fee and Aug. 30 registration deadline.
