Voters Set for 22 Texas Constitutional Amendments
The Sept. 13 election will feature 22 proposed amendments to the Texas constitution. Propositions include caps on non economic damages at 250000 for medical lawsuits Prop 12 and a 10 billion bond limit for TxDOT projects Prop 14. Early voting runs Aug 27 to Sept 9 with election day 7 am to 7 pm.

Perry awards 383000 grant to Wilson County drug task force

Four injured in Floresville two car collision
In Floresville a two car crash at F.M. 1303 and F.M. 536 left Bertha Lopez in critical condition at University Hospital San Antonio. Alonzo Lopez, Jonathan Wiatrek, and Robert Murphy were treated and released. Wiatrek cited for failure to yield. Lopez cited for no license and no insurance.

City cleanup week proclaimed for September in Floresville
Floresville City Council designates September 1 to 5 for an annual cleanup campaign. Waste Management will collect bulky waste such as old furniture and heaters, with brush likely chipped before hauling. Hazardous items and certain refuse are excluded.
