Lions Club Donates to Wilson County Mental Health Center
Floresville Lions Club issued a $300 check to Marie Skaggs chair of the Wilson County Mental Health Advisory Board. The center at 1005 B Street now serves 100 people long term, up from 60 two years ago, with two instructors certified to teach Journey of Hope.

Park Service Celebrates Rancho de las Cabras Anniversary
The National Park Service marks the second anniversary of acquiring Rancho de las Cabras on September 4 at 10 am at Floresville River Park two miles west of Floresville. The event offers classes for families of patients with mental illness to help them understand diagnosis and treatment.
