La Vernia fills council seat and raises water rates
LeAn Watson was appointed to the unexpired council term and sworn in along with Eric Friedrichs Bobby Richter and Harold Schott. The council approved water rates 13 to 18 75 inside city and outside town 18 75 to 21 with sewer unchanged. Outside town sewer costs rise 1 95 residential and 2 25 for large users. Changes take effect Sept 1. An annexation hearing was set for Aug 13.
