Hazardous waste disposal program deadline in rural Bexar County

Rural Bexar residents may dispose of household hazardous waste at no charge until August 22 funded by a county grant. Bexar County Environmental Services Director Renee Green announced the program at a East Central Citizens Forum at Radicke's Lonesome Oak Café. The program covers unincorporated areas with items like paint batteries used oil poisons and spray cans. Call 1 800 449 7587 to schedule a pickup and receive a collection kit.

Burglary arrests in Wilson County tied to rural thefts
