Morales Wins Wilson County Runoff for Act 3 Commissioner
Ricky Morales defeated Larry Bratten 626 to 540 in the Wilson County Act 3 commissioner runoff on July 31. Morales advances as the Republican nominee for the November general election to fill the seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison. In statewide races Cruz edged Dewhurst in Wilson County with 1,602 to 959 votes. Cruz faces Paul Sadler in November.
