Stockdale volunteers help community with programs and dues
Eleven members reported 132 volunteer hours in June totaling 726 at minimum wage in community service. Treasurer Inez Dodd announced 33 members at the July meeting with dues set at 12 per year. A bingo night at Stockdale Nursing Center and a sing along with senior housing residents drew strong attendance and cookies, punch, and coffee were provided. The group plans a monthly sing along and a raffle fundraiser with item donations. The next meeting is August 9 at 7 15 p.m. in the community building council board room. Everyone is invited.

Diabetes Support Group Meeting Set for August 14
The August Diabetes Support Group will meet Tuesday Aug 14 at 6 p.m. in the Wilson Memorial Hospital basement. Open to the public, the session features diabetes education, healthy food, and tips on diet led by Elizabeth Clancy MPAS PAC a diabetes specialist.
