The 1976 La Vernia Junior Livestock Show grossed about 52000 in stock sales with 118 exhibits sold. A Hereford-Semental Cross steer shown by Gail Duelm won grand champion weighing 1262 pounds and bought for 2524 by Louis Feed Mill of San Antonio. Randy Dennis hog champion. E.W. Frank Cattle Co paid 86375 for the 235 pound champ. Mike Burg lamb champ 392 to State Bank of La Vernia. Broilers pen sold for 310 to Scrobarcek Implement Co. Floresville remarks and local leaders praised. a local letter from Ray Dudley invited reader response.
