County Commissioners Proceed With Tax Listers and Licenses
The Wilmington County Board met in regular session with members H. A. Bagg president and commissioners Moore Montgomery Parce and Worth. They read and approved the previous minutes, reviewed March finances showing $18,871.40 in general funds and $15,529.81 in education. bonds and coupons were destroyed in board presence. Tax listers and assessors for Wilmington Township Cape Fear Cape Fear Harnett Masonboro and Federal Point were appointed. licenses to retail liquor were granted to several applicants. The report of City Hospital manager Roger Moore was received and filed. The issue closes with market notes for March 31 including lumber, tar, rosin, turpentine, and cotton quotations in Wilmington and nearby sums.
