The New Hanover County Commissioners met in open session with few items on the agenda. They discussed the Wilmington Beach road matter, noting the refund for funds paid into the county treasury was not to be refunded, and debated whether 4100 feet of road between the main highway and Carolina Beach should be county funded for improvement. The board approved a deed transfer to establish county ownership of a Federal Point road and granted a $10 monthly raise to two road workers effective September 1.
