New Hanover County Hires Full-Time Health Officer
Dr C B Low of Spartanburg was unanimously chosen as the county health officer at a noon board meeting, earning 3000 dollars yearly and starting May 1. He succeeds Dr R B Slocum. Dr Nesbitt had been part time. Low praised by state health officials and arrives amid concerns over whiskey sales to soldiers and local loafers.
