Colored Singers Set to Perform at Academy of Music
The Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform at the Academy of Music on Thursday night March 15 in folk songs that delighted President Wilson at the White House. They recently entertained the Association of Commerce and the Union League Club in Chicago. A Topeka Plaindealer report praised the troupe with full ovations. Proceeds benefit a local clinic for colored children to reduce deaths from preventable diseases. White patrons may reserve seats.
