Washington June 15 Provost Marshal General Crowder told the Senate military affairs committee that the United States expects 3 000 000 men under arms by August 1 and that after exhausting class 1 and 2 new draft rules must widen the age range to include 18 to 45 to sustain work or fight orders. He warned of revising ordnance and quartermaster programs once the 3 000 000 mark is reached and supported integrating national guard units only if needed for federal service.
