The Society for Preventing Cruelty to Children met at 1410 Chestnut Street to probe Secretary Benjamin J. Craw over interference in a Lincoln Institute matter. The group vindicated Craw and praised his duties, while threatening removal of Superintendent Hugg unless actions change, per the Philadelphia Record.
