Boy Charms Snakes Near Lancaster Ohio

Johnny Friend, 12, son of George Friend, three miles east of Lancaster, was charmed by a seven foot four inch snake last week. He cried and moaned until Beery intervened and drew the snake away, breaking the charm. The snake was killed. The boy grew sick and nervous for days but is now improving.
