A literary program with singing and addresses, plus an exhibition drill by Co A Wilmington Battalion of Patriarchs. Paul Grand Master of Pennsylvania Geo F Borie to deliver main address. Capt Charles C Vandyke to present a congratulatory address. Prof P Allen to conduct vocal music. Friends of the order invited.
The funeral for Sharpley Foulk, killed by P., W. & B. cars on Christmas Eve, was held yesterday afternoon at Union M E Church with Rev. Mann officiating. Interment followed in Asbury M E cemetery. Lincoln Lodge R of P sent a large delegation in attendance. Also, Thomas A. Morrison of New Castle, once ill, is now improving with slight hope of recovery.
Small Locals Messra C and J Pyle gave all their staff five dollar shoes as a Christmas present. A lamp lighter in South Wilmington extinguished a lamp at Claymont and B streets yesterday morning when it exploded but no one was burned. River steamers Twilight and Edwin Forest entered Harlan and Hollingsworth yard for winter. The ferry Artic left for Camden and made the trip from mouth of the creek to Camden in 2 hours 20 minutes.
On coursaay evening Alice Oates returns with her Opera Company to perform Charles Lecocq’s Little Duke. The charming singer is well known here and will be supported by a capable company in full opera bouffe style with a well trained chorus ensuring a complete rendition.

Newark Grange elects officers. a Newark Presbyterian minister suffers injuries after a fall. a welldigger is hurt by a blasting accident. Sugar beet weight losses cited. a skeptical take on a novel coal cart and humane concerns follow. A juvenile boxer thief named Craven is jailed on a peace bond.
