The third annual ball of the Young Men's Charity Association of the Jacobe Senate will be held at Webster's Dancing Academy on Friday night December - tickets cost 60 cents. Proceeds go entirely to charity and the event aims to attract many attendees from the city.

Thomas Maguire faced a mayoral hearing for disorderly conduct and was held on $800 bail to keep the peace before being sent to New Castle yesterday afternoon. Edward Kelly was also sent to New Castle after receiving a thirty day sentence.
The case before Mayor Allmond involved James Robinson accused of threatening Mrs. Rachel Kelly and assaulting lodging seeker Geo P Riley from Denmark New Jersey.
