In New Castle on December 4 special judge Spruance allowed citation of authorities in an ejectment suit. Cummins argued defenses asserting plaintiffs must prove legal title beyond doubt while noting 20 year adverse possession can bar claims. judges aim to conclude the case by tomorrow as it has occupied the court longer than any other.
A letter from Market Street residents asks Philadelphia transit to limit car loads or permit animal drawn cars to carry solo animals. Medford Waters was executed at Cherry Hill Cecil county for the murder of Jenkins Whaley more than a year earlier. The crime occurred on a farm near Chesapeake City Elkton after a dispute between two black workers. Waters confessed prior to execution and faced the gallows at 11 35 am. The event drew a large crowd and marked Cecil county's first hanging in over fifty years.
