Wilmette public schools show 1570 pupils enrolled by Tuesday this week, near last year’s September total of 1601. Howard school has 656 pupils while Central school has 595. Laurel 95 and Togan 154. Highcrest 70, with eighth grade moved to Howard.

Wilmette residents and real estate groups announce a campaign to cut real estate taxes. George F. Nixon of the Cook county board of appeals will speak at Byron C. Stolp school in Wilmette on September 18 at 8 p m about the 100000 tax complaints and proposed 20 percent general tax cut for 1932. The Wilmette Home Owners Association leads the effort with support from the North Shore Real Estate board and local legislators.
