Nantao Institute Leader to Preach at Wilmette Sunday
Rev. Emory Wylie Luccock executive secretary of the Nantao Christian Institute in Shanghai will preach at the Wilmette Baptist church Sunday at 11. The institute, funded largely by native sources with a $50,000 building grant from the Russell Sage Foundation, operates as a broad community center with preaching services, Sunday school, student programs, a bilingual newspaper, health clinics, classes, and more. Luccock, Mrs. Stifler’s brother, studied at McCormick Theological Seminary and returns to China after furlough as a noted Presbyterian missionary leader.
