Methodist Men Dinner and Frolic at Shawnee
One hundred twenty five Wilmette Parish Methodist men attended a Shawnee Country club dinner hosted by the parish official board. Northwestern University professor Dr. W D Schermerhorn spoke on The Humorous Side of Missionary Work with quartet performances and a community sing led by Charles E Sutton. The event showcased ground breaking and cornerstone laying films for the new church edifice and concluded with bridge swimming billiards and bowling. It announced as the first in a series of similar programs for the church men.
