North Shore adopts bucket seat cars for comfort on line
The Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee railroad adds deluxe passenger cars with fifty one individually cushioned bucket seats in plush Byz antine. interiors feature mahogany trim and battleship linoleum with a smoking compartment. Cars include electric heating, thermostatic temp control, auxiliary battery lighting, and safety devices as the line tests lighter exterior colors for visibility.
