Evanston Wilmette Golf Course Beautification Plan
The Evanston Community Recreation Association funds improvements along a course spanning Wilmette and Evanston from Sheridan Road to the C N W railroad crossing. Architect W P Crane Jr designs enhancements while shrubs near the Sheridan Road green have been planted. The 32-hole course yields profits shared by Evanston parks and Wilmette play grounds.

The Wilmette Board of Education warns schools may stay closed in September unless tax warrants are sold to cover operating costs. Unpaid bills exceed 10 000 dollars with 20 000 under bond interest and 18 086 25 due soon. The opening date is set for September 19 1932 only if money becomes available.

Harmony Plan Steps Forward In Wilmette Convention
Wilmette residents move toward a Perpetual Harmony convention to nominate village officers. The plan now calls for four representatives per precinct and six at large, with a Call committee to be formed by two initial appointees from J E Worthen and Ralph H Rice. A September session is planned to further the process.

The Wilmette Masonic lodge will observe St John’s Day on Sunday June 19. Members meet at the Masonic temple and march to the First Congregational church for the 10 45 morning service at the invitation of Rev John G Hindley the church minister.
