The fusion slate of Democratic candidates won big in Tuesday’s judicial election while New Trier voters split tickets, voting for several Bar association favorites in the Republican column. Bar association selections carried large majorities in the New Trier precincts. Voters in the township also supported a decisive majority on other measures.

Hearing on Water Works Injunction Suit Next Monday
The Shawnee Country Club filed an injunction to halt Wilmette's new municipal water plant. Hearings before Master in Chancery Julius H. Miner start next Monday. Construction proceeds with laying the intake pipe and trenching begun. Beachgoers are advised to stay away during work. Deadline Set for Return of Tax Schedules 1932
County Assessor orders return of personal property schedules for 1932 with a 50 percent penalty on late submissions. Wilmette Coast Guards Rescue Seven Persons
Wilmette coast guardsmen rescued seven people in two incidents near the village. On May 29 the sloop The Tailspin overturned a mile from the Wilmette harbor and crews recovered William Akely George Twitchell and Reginald Green. Earlier this week four Northwestern students in a capsized canoe near campus prompted rescue of two near exhaustion and two who swam toward shore.
