Climax of 20th Music Fete Lights North Shore Festival
The North Shore Music Festival reached a peak with a closing program featuring Dorothy Speare, Jacques Gordon, and a near 1 000 member chorus under Dean Lutkin. The week included a 1 500-child choir performance with John W. Beattie and Florence Macbeth, plus Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Clare Dux and Lawrence Tibbett in the final chorus and soloists.

Boys and Girls junior golf programs begin in early June at Westmoreland Country Club. Boys start Saturday morning June 2 with weekly play and a season championship. Girls begin Thursday morning June 14 with professional instruction a putting contest and nine hole matches. Mrs Harry Allen leads.
