Thieves Loot Kenilworth Home During Bold Night Raid
Bandits posing as policemen entered Edward B. Mallers home at 506 Sheridan Road on Monday night and held the family and staff, then escaped with cash and valuables totaling about 14 thousand dollars after abandoning their own car in Chicago. The burglars severed telephone lines and guarded servants while loading the Lincoln limousine with loot and fleeing. A Chevrolet used by the robbers was later reported stolen from John F. Mittestadt.
