Aram Mestjian, employment officer, handles the service at 511 Main Street with forms available daily. Village board learns from Illinois Commerce that Public Service Company of Northern Illinois has withdrawn its gas sales tax request and similarly for electric sales. The company will absorb the 3 percent tax, removing charges from customers.

Village Board Approves Three Street Improvement Projects
The trustees approved three resolutions for street work. Hibbard road paving will be county funded this summer. Wilmette avenue and Tenth street resurfacing will use Village gas tax funds totaling 16000. Ridge road widening adds 11 feet each side to 42 feet with up to 16000 cost. Contracts await state highway department approval.
