Rotary brings cheer to veterans at Great Lakes hospital
Wilmette Rotary members donate to disabled World War I veterans at the Great Lakes government hospital. Contributions go to local agencies the Wilmette Woman's club, American Legion Wilmette Post, and the Wilmette Catholic Woman's Club to fund patient comfort and companionship. Rotarians are urged to visit the veterans at Great Lakes and share in person contact, not just money. Additional gifts support the Chicago Day Nursery and the Illinois Society for Crippled Children. A charity Christmas party is planned for next Wednesday's luncheon.
