Horowitz to Perform in Winnetka Gymnasium
Vladimir Horowitz, the acclaimed Russian pianist, will give a December 26 recital at New Trier High School gymnasium in Winnetka with an audience capacity near 5 000. Tickets are $2 50 for most seats and $1 50 for balcony students, available in Wilmette and Kenilworth drug stores or via Mrs Bessie Grant. First come, first served seating applies.

Budinger to Take Cashiership at New York Bank
J. M. Budinger, cashier of the Wilmette State Bank, will become assistant cashier at the Commercial National Bank and Trust Company of New York City, beginning January 1. The bank at 56 Wall Street recently opened with the largest capital and surplus in the metropolis, and Budinger plans to leave Wilmette late this month with his wife and infant son staying behind about a month longer. Budinger is well known on the north shore for civic work with the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce.

Nominating New Officers for Wilmette COC

Village Board Approves New Street Lights on 16th Street
The village board authorized additional street lights along 16th street north from Greenwood avenue at residents request near Kenilworth stations of Northwestern and North Shore railroads. A second light will be installed south of the alley between Seventh Eighth streets, Laurel and Linden avenues.
