Terminate Union Services Sunday at Congs Church
The closing union service of the summer season will be held at the First Congregational church Sunday morning September 1 at 11 o'clock with Dr George D Allison of the Wilmette Baptist church in the pulpit. He will speak on Philemon a Christian with a Social Problem and read the Labor Day message of the Federation of Churches. Both churches have cooperated in the union services during July and August. each will resume its individual program September 8.

Mallinckrodt High School Opens 1935 36 Term Friday
The Mallinckrodt Catholic high school for girls at Ridge road and Walnut avenue Wilmette will begin the 1935 36 term Friday September 6 with book day September 5. Superintendent Sister Josephis reports 150 registrations already recorded. The school serves students from Chicago Evanston and all north shore villages.

Beach season ends Sept 6 at WilmetteBath
The Wilmette Bathing beach closes Friday September 6. Beachmaster Clyde O Grater asks umbrella and beach chair owners to claim them by Tuesday September 3. Season attendance reached about 110000 with 1831 members checking 73496 times and a peak day of 4669 on August 11. Lifeguards Edward Howard John Holmes Charles M unch Haldane Wilson and Donald Patton rescued 23 swimmers. two drownings near Gages Pier 800 yards north occurred on private property beyond park boundaries. Improvements include southern parking area access from Washington Park and extended lighting for late beachgoers plus first aid facilities.
